The Kalama Your Friend CBO, founded in 2019, is dedicated to the welfare and protection of children and young people
in Mityana, Uganda.
Due to our efforts in the last year, we have grown as a community in strength, in numbers and
in a more structured way of working. Therefor we are transforming from a Community Based Organisation (CBO) into a
more mature and worldwide recognised form: a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO).
why we do what we do...
It's our mission to" break the cycle of poverty for the local communities in Uganda.
Our vision to support this mission is to develop the community alongside six interdependant programs:
Our focus for 2025 is with food security, infrastructure and business.
For each program we have developed multiple project plans, to realise the goals of the program.
Overall we continuously keep the focus on three priority projects. Currently those three are: developing our farmland (increase production and harvest), water management (drilling two wells to support the farm land and clean drinking water) and okutunga (in order to generate our own income).
